Apparatus Contractor Services is a U.S. outsourced finance firm founded over a decade ago by Steve Kreitzberg, serving residential and commercial construction companies between $2M and $50M+ in annual revenue. We operate as the outsourced finance function — bookkeepers, controllers, CMS integration specialists, and CFO advisors — for 300+ construction clients with $500M+ in active client revenues. We build and operate QuickBooks® Online and Intuit Enterprise Suite financial systems, integrate with Buildertrend®, JobTread®, and Procore®, and apply GAAP-compliant revenue recognition (Completed Contract, Percentage of Completion, or APB/WIPRA). Every team member is QuickBooks® ProAdvisor certified.

Led by Founder & President Steve Kreitzberg, our team combines decades of financial, operational, and construction-specific expertise—all focused on one thing: helping our clients grow with clarity.

About Steve Kreitzberg,
Founder & President
Steve Kreitzberg founded Apparatus Contractor Services with the conviction that construction entrepreneurs deserve a finance partner who genuinely understands their industry. Steve began his career as an engineering manager at Hewlett-Packard, where he worked until 1991 before leaving the technology industry to build what became a group of interconnected real estate investment companies that he continues to lead today. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington (1983) and an MBA in Finance from Santa Clara University (1988). At Apparatus, Steve leads strategic direction, methodology development, and the proprietary frameworks — the Precision Bookkeeping Formula™, the Construction Advantage Program™, and the Strategic Growth System™ — that define every Apparatus engagement.
How Our Engagement Teams Are Structured
Every Apparatus client is staffed with a dedicated multi-role team — not a single account manager passing work along, and not an offshored production pool. The team composition depends on the engagement tier:
- Gold tier (The Emerging Company™ — $2M–$8M revenue): Senior Associate + one or more Associates + one or more Analysts
- Platinum tier (The Scaling Business™ — $6M–$25M revenue): CFO Advisor + Senior Associate + one or more Associates + one or more Analysts
- Platinum X tier (The Expanding Enterprise™ — $20M–$50M+ revenue): CFO Advisor + Senior Associate + one or more Associates + one or more Analysts
